Skinwalker Ranch (formerly the Sherman Ranch) is a 512-acre property in Uintah County, Utah, that has been a focus of paranormal investigation. From 1996, billionaire Robert Bigelow purchased the ranch and tasked the National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS) with documenting phenomena. From 2008 to 2010, the property was studied under the Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP), confirmed by the New York Times in 2017.
